This book is a collection of letters, primarily written to or by Fulton Griffin, a bright, young, noble scholar from North Carolina. The correspondence reflects not only Fulton’s daily pursuits but also his very promising future, cut short by a tragic accident at the Chicago World’s Fair of 1893. Letters from family, friends, co-workers, and classmates, provide a glimpse into post-reconstruction America in the 19th Century and Fulton’s own experiences living and working in Washington D.C. amid the newsmakers and entertainers of the day. An index of over 250 family names appearing in the book serves as an aid to genealogists. Over 250 endnotes, 70 with photographs, have been included, identifying people, places, and events referenced in the letters. An additional 30 photographs depict Fulton’s family, friends and other documents pertaining to him. Softbound, 498 pages. $26.95. Unless otherwise requested, shipping within the continental U.S. will be via USPS media mail and may take approximately 2 weeks to arrive. For such method, the postage cost is $3.05 for a single copy. For multiple copies to the same address, please add $1.50 postage and handling for each additional copy.

This delightful fictional novel is a humorous account of a husband afflicted with a serious daydreaming issue. On the advice of a psychiatrist, he and his wife move from Vermont to an island off the coast of Venezuela in order to “live out” one of his fantasies, in the hopes of curing his affliction. The eccentric characters he encounters along the way, cast doubt as to whether this form of therapy has helped his condition or rather, taken him deeper into his inner world.

The autobiography of Ed Hanley, Tales of Neptune’s Treasures, is currently available through Snowbird Press. For those of you who knew Ed or visited his “museum” in Sanibel, Florida you may have been lucky enough to hear stories of his adventures or perhaps learn from him about seashells, fossils and artifacts, many of which were available in his store. Sadly, Ed has passed away, but his knowledge and passion about learning and exploring are preserved in this book. Please refer to the “Press Coverage” for additional information about Ed.
This 380-page, soft-bound book includes 80 photographs of his exciting life and experiences scuba diving, shelling, fossiling and treasure hunting. His childhood and military experiences are recounted, as well as reflections on his family and people he had met in operating Neptune’s Treasures for over a quarter of a century. Included as an appendix to this book are all the articles he wrote concerning the various seashells to be found on Sanibel. These popular, illustrated articles appeared in the Sanibel-Captiva Shopper’s Guide for many years and now reprinted for the first time, in one collection.
